Lol someone's reading the manga :P remember the sweaty scene with ayumi when keima is sick :P (Y) if you do i love ayumi that time but i still prefer kanon the fact that even if the goddess inside her isn't awake she's the only one to remember keima. Reviewed in the United States on July 8, 2016 Format: Audio CD Verified Purchase I've been a Deftones fan since about 97 when i first heard (around the fur) and then when (white piny) came out i got even more into them. After (white pony) i kinda lost interest with their newer stuff like self titled or (diamond eyes) even though i did buy the self titled 4th album and liked most of it well enough. I didn't pay attention to their releases after that for years but i recently heard (koi no yokan) and absolutely loved it on first listen and it keeps growing on me more and more until now it's one of my favorite albums ever. If i could wish for the Deftones to sound anyway i wanted then this would be what i'd envision as their perfect sound. It's so groovy and melodic yet loud and guitar heavy. As i listen to it i can't believe that i missed this one but i'm glad i finally got it. This is in my top 3 albums all time no doubt. It's just right up my alley for what i love music wise. It makes you feel something deep inside. Buy it! Reviewed in the United States on February 6, 2019 Format: Audio CD Verified Purchase Every single track on this album is an absolute banger. Can't recall a single bad song Deftones has released, but this album has some of their greatest. From the cool melodic tone of Entombed, to the chaotically banging riffs of Graphic Nature, to Swerve City, a song you can't help but head bang to. Every single one is great in it's own way; a great buy and a great album to get your friends into the band if you're into that. Reviewed in the United States on March 11, 2013 Format: Audio CD Verified Purchase On the album before this, "Diamond Eyes", I only REALLY loved half the album and the rest was just ok. Maybe it was because their guitarist Chi was absent and they were having a hard time dealing with that but the Deftones seemed less aggressive and passionate than usual. Thankfully here on "Koi No Yokan", the band feels revitalized and have their edge and inventiveness back. The songwriting here is amazing, some songs took me back to the "Adrenaline/Around the Fur" years while other ones incorporated the "White Pony/Saturday Night Wrist" experimental rock approach. I was surprised how I was reminded of all those albums yet the songs still managed to sound so great and well executed after all these years (and with Chi in a coma still). Nothing sounds stale here. This album has it's share of really hard, distorted rockers but it also ventures into the progressive rock realm with eloquent guitar patterns, atmospheric synth-scapes, and electronics. If you are a fan of the Deftones or ever were a fan, you need to own this album. Like I said in my title, it's up their with some of their best ones. If you like heavy rock that is interesting and has variation, definitely give this a chance. Buy Reviewed in the United States on December 30, 2012 Format: Audio CD Verified Purchase With their being well over a decade into their career, you might wonder if the Deftones can still surprise you with an album. Ever since their game-changing masterpiece White Pony, which transformed a lot of people's ideas about what alt-metal could be, the band has released a succession of albums that use White Pony's formulas as a foundation. They still explored new sounds, but they were unmistakably the Deftones. Koi No Yokan is still unmistakably the Deftones, which is perfectly fine for fans. It opens with "Swerve City, " which features Chino Moreno's voice soaring melodically over slamming guitar riffs. Sound familiar? it should, but it also sounds pretty awesome. And as the album continues, the 'Tones show they still have a few tricks up their sleeves. "Romantic Dreams" is downright prog, with the band changing time signatures three times during the course of the song. Tempest is a six-minute sonic minor-key opus. "What Happened to You? " is very unlike the rest of the album, with Abe Cunningham inventing a new skittering drum pattern to prop up a jazzy bass line and light, ethereal guitar from Stef Carpenter. In short, the Deftones won't exactly drop any jaws with this album, but considering how many bands cannot survive as along as they have, both the band an the listener can be satisfied with what they're offering. Reviewed in the United States on December 11, 2013 Format: Audio CD Verified Purchase Okay, I'm going to admit it right isn't a Deftones album that I would not give 5 stars too. Everyone of their albums is like a time machine for me and there is no other band who I have followed so consistently for so long (over 16 years now). As for this particular damn is "Entombed" a fantastic song. Definitely my top pick off the album. And how about that "Swerve City" track? Starting the album with that guitar riff seems pretty great to me and then Chino's vocals just come in like a gust of Hot Latin you know it's true. I feel like they were trying to recreate 'White Pony' a little bit with this whole record, but they did so without going overboard on the nostalgic songwriting. So yes, I have a biased opinion because this band can basically do no wrong in my eyes, but this is truly a good record. Reviewed in the United States on November 26, 2012 Format: Audio CD Verified Purchase "Koi No Yokan" is another home run from the most underrated American rock band in the last 20 years. The Deftones continue to put out great music, year after year, record after record. This album is experimental in sound, mixing harder rock sounds with the dream pop melodies that Chino Moreno seems to love to embrace. If you're fan of the Deftones, you won't be disappointed with this album. There are songs that will remind you of earlier work on "Adrenaline, " "White Pony, " and "Diamond Eyes. " It's wonderful to see the Deftones moving ever-forward with each album they create. While I don't find the album as commercially accessible as "White Pony, " I believe this album will win over some new fans, satisfy old fans, and keep the Deftones in the public eye until their next record comes out. And if this is the last Deftones album, I'm happy to say my favorite band of all-time has gone out swinging. Top international reviews 5. 0 out of 5 stars Deftones' sonic masterpiece Reviewed in the United Kingdom on August 26, 2013 Format: Audio CD Verified Purchase "Koi No Yokan" sees the Deftones' music reach a maturity that allows them to navigate rougher textures and beautiful soundscapes with great dexterity. Very much building on from previous album "Diamond Eyes", the subsequent evolution and refinement of their sound makes "Koi No Yokan", to me, one of the Deftones' stand out works. Lead single 'Leathers', which caught my interest and pulled me into buying the album almost on the weight of it alone, is a key demonstrator of this prowess. Refinement for the Deftones does not mean losing the edge which hooked so many in with the visceral anger on songs like 'My Own Summer' and 'Back to School'. 'Leathers' haunting opening is violently punctured by the full weight of the band and Chino Moreno's vocals, and the song continues with these harder elements, soundscaped by a melody which is never overpowered, only matched; but then, a bridge which is both seductive and insidious really demonstrates the skill of these musicians. Album highlight for me is 'What Happened to You? ', a dynamic, soaring masterpiece whose only fault it that it is just under four minutes long, when it could easily be the same length as 'Rosemary' due to its scale and scope. The Deftones' original bass player, Chi Cheng, passed away about six months after "Koi No Yokan" was released. Sergio Vega is a great replacement and his contribution is more noticeable here than on "Diamond Eyes", but listening to the album again in light of Chi's death, there is a certain poignance I found which was not immediately apparent in the album, but gives it a moving extra layer. 6 people found this helpful Sending feedback... It’s probably got a bit more in common with White Pony, Saturday Night Wrist or Gore than say, Around the Fur but that’s definitely not a bad thing and there’s a few brilliant songs. Solid album. Deftones out do themselves yet again! Reviewed in the United Kingdom on February 8, 2013 Format: Audio CD Verified Purchase After so many fantastic albums I felt Deftones latest release 'Koi No Yokan' wouldn't be as good as previous albums. How I was so wrong as it is possibly their best work yet. It is effectively a combination of all their best sounds from all their albums. Raw heaviness, delicate noise, shoegaze feel, powerhouse instrumentation and romantic lyricism are mixed flawlessly. It's easier to call it a heavier and more controlled Saturday Night Wrist, as it carries the dreamy vibe but with a much heavier sound. It is a heavy album that has tons of beauty. 'Swerve City' opens and has one of the bands catchiest riffs, it shows straight away how tight and controlled the band are. 'Romantic Dreams' is as the title suggests with slick guitar work yet its Chino's wonderful vocals and lyrics that make it standout. Single 'Leathers' shows the band haven't lost their heaviness with hammering guitars and unworldly shrieking yet retaining a beautiful chorus. 'Poltergeist' might be my favourite track, the verses contain blistering guitars and pounding drums and the breath-taking Dream Metal chorus is incredible. 'Entombed' is simply gorgeous and the guitar riff and softer vocals are amazing. 'Graphic Nature' has a brilliant guitar line and powerful vocals, 'Gauze' is similar as it manages to balance the heaviness of the verses and romanticism of the chorus perfectly (something the album excels at). Single 'Tempest' is bordering on Prog-Rock as it shows the bands versatility. 'Rosemary' is another highlight, as it starts and ends with an alluring guitar hook yet it contains a number of superb heavy hooks. The penultimate song 'Goon Squad' is another standout as it mixes crunching riffs with a spacey atmosphere. 'What Happened To You? ' is an incredible closer and words can't describe how beautiful it is. I'd go as far as to call Koi No Yokan Deftones best album which is some achievement, simply an incredible album. One person found this helpful Beautiful and noisy. Reviewed in the United Kingdom on January 4, 2017 Verified Purchase A great album. When I first heard it I was actually worried that THIS was going to be the album where I stopped enjoying their music as much. But in fact, this is now one of my favourite albums. It's got flavours of Chino's other side projects in there, which is good for the shoegaze lover in you, but it has all the meaty bassy Deftones-ness that we all love, coupled with some beautiful lyrics and atmospheres. Highly recommended. Also, look up what the title means, you won't be disappointed. I think on that one track, one blobby passage after another kinda killed the momentum, that's all. the more atmospheric moments on the rest of this LP go over pretty well. just that one spot, really. yeah, i think this album is less harsh, which i noted in my comparison do diamond eyes, but it didn't really feel like anything the band hasn't done on wrist. [1] [2] Its title is a phrase from Japanese language "恋の予感", translating to "premonition of love". [3] [4] Koi No Yokan was met with widespread acclaim from critics upon its release, and debuted at number eleven on the US Billboard 200, selling over 65, 000 copies in its first week of sales. According to Nielsen SoundScan, it has sold over 200, 000 copies to date in the United States. Background [ edit] Band frontman Chino Moreno characterized the album as "dynamic" with a full range of noise, noting an increased contribution of ideas by bassist Sergio Vega compared to their previous record, Diamond Eyes. [5] A major change in the recording process came with the use of the Fractal Audio Systems Axe-Fx preamp /effects processor, which creates the sound of multiple outboard amps and pedals and allowed for different tones. Vega said the group was able to "bring Fractal into hotel rooms and run it into software and record ideas and flesh them out later". The group tracked guitar, bass and vocals, then recorded drums and replaced the guitar, bass and vocals. Vega confirmed that "everything was organic". [6] Composition [ edit] Described as having an "alternative metal vibe", [7] the music incorporates experimental elements from the band's previous albums Saturday Night Wrist (2006) and Diamond Eyes (2010), [8] incorporating elements from metal (including doom metal and groove metal), alternative rock, shoegaze, dream pop, post-rock and prog rock. [3] [9] [10] [11] [12] [13] [14] [15] Sample of the ninth track "Rosemary", which was described by Slant editor Michael Nordine to be "as heavy as [it is] pretty, often at the same time: [Moreno] gently crooning over layers of slow-moving guitars. " [16] Problems playing this file? See media help. Release [ edit] On September 19, 2012, the band released the song " Leathers " as a promotional single via a free download on their website. [17] [18] [19] [20] On October 8, 2012, "Leathers" was released as the album's first single. [21] "Leathers" was also released as a limited-edition cassingle with "Rosemary" as the B-side. [22] On October 3, 2012, the song " Tempest " premiered on PureVolume for streaming. [23] "Tempest" was released as a single on October 9, 2012. [24] Koi No Yokan was released on vinyl in four versions: a standard retail version pressed on 140-gram black vinyl (3, 000 units), a direct-to-consumer version on 180-gram black vinyl with foil-stamped numbered jackets (1, 000 units), an international edition pressed on 180-gram vinyl and an exclusive edition sold through Hot Topic retailers pressed on 140-gram clear-colored vinyl (1, 500 units). [25] This was also the first album released through HDtracks. [26] Tour [ edit] The band launched a tour on October 9, 2012, which ended on November 21 in Los Angeles. The band played at venues with capacities between 1, 000 and 4, 000 with the goal being to allow fans to experience the music before the album was released. [28] With this score, Koi No Yokan was among the eight best-reviewed albums of 2012. [37] Gregory Heaney of AllMusic wrote, "While a lot of bands out there have been tinkering with the loud/quiet dynamic for decades now, what makes Deftones so special is their ability to do both at the same time, effectively blending the calm and the storm into a single sound". [30] Mischa Pearlman of BBC Music wrote, "It transcends the boundaries and expectations of its genre--even those previously set by the very band that made it". [31] Al Horner of NME said of the album, "It's a shotgun blast of cranked guitars, bruising hardcore and canyon-sized choruses, and it's mesmerising". [1] Greg Fisher of Sputnikmusic called it "a remarkably consistent effort" that "glitters with supreme melodies as much as crushes with massive riffs showcasing the quintet's most accomplished material in over a decade". [36] Rolling Stone called the album "adventurously aggressive" and stated, "Koi No Yokan ranges from brutal, blunt-force trauma ('Gauze') to epic prog-rock atmospherics (the sprawling, enchanting 'Tempest'). Opener 'Swerve City' sets the tone immediately with a bludgeoning riff, but Deftones also take nuanced approaches to angsty tension, weaving meticulously crafted cosmic rock on 'Entombed' and wading through murky, jagged textures on 'Rosemary'". [14] In May 2013, Revolver named Koi No Yokan the "Album of the Year" at the fifth annual Revolver Golden Gods Award Show. [38] Commercial performance [ edit] The album debuted at No. 11 on Billboard 200, and No. 5 on the Top Rock Albums, [39] selling 65, 000 copies in the first week. [40] The album has sold 214, 000 copies in the US as of March 2016. [41] Track listing [ edit] All lyrics are written by Chino Moreno; all music is composed by Deftones. No. Title Length 1. Koi no Yokan is a Japanese phrase referring to the feeling, upon first meeting someone, that you will eventually fall in love. Though it might be facile to suggest that the phrase applies equally to the music on this album, it wouldn't be far from wrong. The Deftones have always had a way with instrumental sound, pulling elements from metal, alt-rock and shoegaze to create an emotionally evocative wall of guitars, but this time around the textures are even more closely tied to the songwriting. Perhaps that's why the songs seem more deeply engrossing, from the darkly churning textures of Gauze to the almost pop-flavoured melodies of Entombed. -J. D. Overall, if the Smashing Pumpkins were heavier, ballsier and angrier, they'd make albums that sound like this, since Deftones do have an alt-metal vibe. I wanna die to this song. Simpla amazing, and fantastically beautiful video. Thank you dear Teresa Theng. Extremely beautiful. Free Full Koibitotachi no yohan gourcuff. Charismatic personality + melodious voice. Rest in peace, beautiful soul! ❤. I haven't seen this movie in years but I caught it recently and I had to do a review on it. The film tells the tale of two people Harry and Sally(both played by Billy Crystal from Monsters Inc,and Meg Ryan who was in Sleepless In Seattle and of course Kate & Leopold. The story chronicles on these two people who were friends for years and over the course of the film the two start to like each other more than friends when they meet up a few years later, but they are now dating other people. So will they won't they get together. Also the film shows segments of people who fell in love and talk about what attracted them to their potential partners in the first place.
Bottom line I enjoyed this movie as I am a huge fan of Meg Ryan since I was a kid and its a pity she doesn't do movies anymore as she was very good at doing romantic chemistry between her and Billy Crystal was very good and lets not forget the fake orgasm scene where she does it at a restaurant and everyone watches in shock. And of course the ending was predictable but hey that's romantic comedies for ya.
Meg was very young back when she did this movie and she went on to star in some hit movies(Sleepless In Seattle,You've Got Mail,Anastasia) and some that just didn't do that great(Kate & Leopold and I liked that film A lot.
Overall I say check it out. Its a feel good romantic comedy for all you hopeless romantics out there.
Good.

Me: Make something beautiful Deftones: Hold my beer.
